A coffee can start a day and make you feel better, but now it can also get you points and let you travel cheaper on your next trip.
Since October 12th, 2022 Starbucks Rewards members can now earn Delta Skymiles with their coffee purchases. The partnership between the two brands allows customers to earn miles by purchasing Starbucks products in most U.S. locations. (At the moment this is eligible for only US citizens.) https://www.deltastarbucks.com/content/starbucks/en/overview.html
Starbucks has a rewards program called Starbucks Rewards that lets you earn free coffees, refills and other perks when you visit Starbucks locations. Now, you can use Starbucks Rewards to accumulate Skymiles, the loyalty program for Delta Airlines.
You’ll be asked to log in or sign up for both programs (Starbucks Rewards and Delta Skymiles) so you can link your two accounts. To earn rewards, you must link your Starbucks app or card to your Delta account and then make purchases with them. It is free to join in both loyalty/reward programs.
So how much coffee should you drink to collect points?
You get one mile per spent dollar, no matter what kind of a product you buy. There’s a possibility to earn 2 x points, if you use a mobile application and use money that is downloaded in the app beforehand. *Excludes taxes and gratuities. You also earn double the points on your travelling day.
*tier benefits can include: , choice benefits, flight benefits, fee waiver benefits, airport benefits, Hertz Car Rental benefits and many more… To mentions a few benefits, you can get first-class upgrades, savings on vacations, priority check-in and boarding, waived baggage fees and much more. Check all the benefits here https://www.delta.com/us/en/skymiles/medallion-program/medallion-benefits
Delta Airlines has other partners as well to collect miles with them such as Lyft, Instacart, Turo, Airbnb, Ticketmaster and Adidas. I will be writing about these partnerships soon!
If you’re looking to earn extra Skymiles and you already sip Starbucks, link the two apps and start collecting, it doesn’t cost anything extra. If you don’t already have a Starbucks card, now is the time to get one. Small things add up!
Thank you for reading this article. More tips on collecting miles and points coming very soon.
